Car #6. This is the famous 1946 'Johnny Pawl" #17 Offy. This is the original vehicle used in the vintage comedians' ABBOTT & COSTELLO movie "Buck Privates Come Home". The car has a long and highly recognized history. It was raced coast-to-coast from 1946 on and driven by Duke Nalon, Paul Russo, Ted Duncan, Duke Dinsmore and many other top drivers. In 1946 through '47 the car won a staggering $100,000...a major amount of money for the times! A tape is available with Tony Stewart and Dave Dispain discussing the car at the Las Vegas track.
